Non-stop busyness is not good for you.
And it's killing the Creation.
The more we go, go, go--without regard to its impact on the natural world--the more the Creation suffers. As we burn fossil fuels in our non-stop consumption, we pump greenhouse gases into the atmoshpere which increases the effects of climate change.
The effects are as far-reaching as the oceans and the polar ice caps. And as close as our own tired bodies and souls. Both the environment around us and our souls within us are out of balance.
The ancients tell us that even God rested. On the seventh day, both Creator and Creation took a breather. Time just to be.
When's the last time you did?
This retreat combines Jewish Sabbath rituals, Bible study and discussion, rest and reflection, and worship to explore how Sabbath-keeping can restore both humans and the created world in which we live.
And in so doing, to give honor to the Creator, who sanctified rest.
A customized study guide with bibliography and resources as well as a promotional toolkit are all included to help you plan a truly transformative experience.
